We are pleased to offer our support to Plastic bag free Brighton. A new community campaign to bring together those of us who want to make Brighton plastic bag free.
Although we don’t tend to use too many bags in our web design and development services, we feel that by highlighting this cause we can help other people think about the environmental consequences of using the bags.
Learn more at www.plasticbagfreebrighton.co.uk
The site gives details of suppliers of plastic bag alternatives, as information becomes available (wholesale and retail) and facts and figures about the detrimental effects plastic bags are having on the environment.
On the site is a excellent video named ‘The amazing adventures of a plastic bag’ - a short film written, shot and edited by the children of Balfour Junior School, Brighton. Looking at the pollution in our city.
Together we can make Brighton and Hove the first plastic bag free city!

Google accounts for 56% of all searches on the internet according to the online research firm Comscore. In Britain, Google is visited more than any other website with 28.6m unique users in September - reaching 89% of all UK internet users.
Google has also become very interested in the potential of mobile phones as devices for accessing the internet and is working on its own mobile phone software and even its own devices. Details of the Gphone - as the project has become known, in imitation of Apple’s iPhone - are expected to be released this month .
Google is understood to have talked with a number of Asian mobile phone makers about the possibility of putting its own software on to a new generation of internet-enabled mobile phones. It is also working with a number of companies, including satellite broadcaster BSkyB, about the potential of advertising on mobile phones.
Google is even examining becoming directly involved in the mobile phone industry by buying a mobile phone spectrum in the US and potentially the UK which it could use to run its own mobile services.

So, the Annual Geekfest in Austin Texas is almost upon us.
Just one look at the events calendar is enough to make any person nervous, with the amount of world renowned speakers and also some homegrown talent going over to share knowledge, hang out with friends and make new aquaintances.
How to maximise everyones time at SxSW08
This is how I can see the event working. After the initial check in for flight, and at the hotel. All delegates are required to register. This will be a good initial check to get a vibe for just how friendly and excitable everyone will be about the week ahead. Hopefully to spot some of the Brightoninan’s that will also be there.
